Job Description

Project Controls internThe HR Intern will support the Human Resources department in various tasks and projects to gain hands-on experience in HR operations. This position is designed to provide exposure to the various facets of HR, including recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, training, and other administrative functions.

Recruitment Support:

  • Assist in the recruitment process, including job posting and coordinating interviews.
  • Maintain and update the applicant tracking system.

HR Project Support:

  • Assist in implementing HR projects (e.g., employee engagement, training programs)
  • Track project timelines and deliverables
  • Prepare project documentation and reports

Employee Engagement:

  • Support the planning and execution of staff engagement activities
  • Assist in surveys and feedback collection
  • Ensure proper filing (physical and digital)

HR Administration:

  • Maintain and update employee records and databases.
  • Assist in preparing HR-related reports and documents.
  • Support various HR projects as assigned.

Key requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree ​ program (Human Resources, Business Administration, organization or industrial psychology, etc.) or any other relevant degree/course from a recognised university
  • Must provide an introduction letter from the university and a copy of the student's ID.
  • Must provide a partial transcript/testimonial showing current academic scores with a minimum of an
    upper-second degree.
  • Must be available full-time for the duration of the internship period.
  • Must write and submit an internship application letter.

About East African Crude Oil Pipeline

The East African Crude Oil Pipeline Project (EACOP) is a pipeline that will transport oil produced from Uganda’s Lake Albert oilfields to the port of Tanga in Tanzania where the oil will then be sold onwards to world markets. The pipeline is buried and once topsoil and vegetation have been re-instated people and animals will be able to cross freely anywhere along its length.
