Location: Cameron, LA
Pay: $45/hr
Per Diem: $875/week

Work Schedule: 6/10s

MMR is seeking Project Controls Engineer candidates with a degree in Construction Management or industry related equivalent. The responsibilities would include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Oversight on all engineers / leading PODs / other meetings.
  • Lead and support Field Engineers.
  • Oversight on equipment tracking, procurement, cost and budget adherence.
  • Identify and resolve constructability issues and design interpretation.
  • Manage EWOs, CORs, and budget adherence.
  • Monitoring crew mixes and CMS employee allocation.
  • Confirming time, production, and verifying PC reports are complete.
  • Work with Construction Managements and Superintendents to provide constraints reports
  • impacting productivity.
  • Serve as the Construction Manager’s eyes on overall project health and escalate roadblocks to the Project Engineer for resolution.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor and upper management

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • BS in Construction Management or related field

  • At least 3-5 years relevant work experience

  • Experience in electrical and instrumentation construction preferred

  • Experience in industrial construction is preferred

  • Must have knowledge in estimating, scheduling, and purchasing

  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawing packages and specifications

  • Working knowledge of MS Office software

  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawing packages and specifications

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, organize, problem solve, and exercise good judgement with minimal supervision

  • Working knowledge of MS Office software

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively under time pressure and/or deadline

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Willingness to work flexible, varying hours, including evenings and weekends as needed

  • Regular and reliable attendance at work
