CEDA is looking to hire Project Controls Coordinator for our Fort McMurray, AB location. CEDA will be working with one of their clients to reassemble their entire dredge, as well as assemble a marina and an electrical barge on site.

The Project Controls Coordinator is responsible for supporting a Dredge project to implement standard project controls. You will work with various functions though out CEDA, to ensure that projects are executed in accordance with the approved plans and schedules.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that projects are setup and managed in accordance with the company policies and procedures
  • Participating in the development of the project control plans by assisting with the development of work scope definitions, preliminary estimates, budgets, plans, schedules scope change and resource requirements
  • Providing overall project cost, schedule, progress measurement, and change management support
  • Providing input and direction in the initial project planning phases
  • Confirming and validating the job scope
  • Working directly with operational divisions, providing support in all project control related areas including cost control, progress measurement and schedule control
  • Assisting with the implementation and progressing of Client's Project Control initiatives
  • Providing reports as directed by the Maintenance Manager
  • Accountable to develop tools as required to support project controls

Role Specifications

  • Background in accounting or cost control is an asset
  • 5+ years of project controls experience with cost and schedule control
  • Advanced knowledge of project controls principles, theories, concepts, practices, processes and expectations with respect to project controls
  • Versed in the MS Office Suite of products (Word, Excel) and MS Project (Primavera)
  • Your prior experience providing project control support in the Industrial Services Industry is an asset
  • Your Project Management Professional certification is an asset
