About the Project

John Holland is progressing the development of Stage 1A of the multi-stage Beveridge Intermodal Freight Terminal project, a pivotal development set to transform the logistics landscape in Victoria, Australia.

This initial phase marks the beginning of a journey towards creating a state-of-the-art facility that will streamline the movement of goods across the nation and beyond.

Strategically located to harness the full potential of its proximity to key transport links, it is poised to deliver unparalleled efficiencies in the distribution of freight. With the latest advancements in logistics technology at its core, Stage 1A lays the groundwork for a hub of innovation, ensuring that cargo is moved with unprecedented speed and precision.

About the Role / Are you up for the challenge?

We’re seeking a Project Controls Advisor to join the team delivering the Beveridge Intermodal Precinct, a nationally significant infrastructure project that will play a critical role in Australia’s future freight and logistics network.

In this role, you’ll support the project team by providing accurate and timely project controls information across cost, schedule and performance reporting. You’ll work closely with construction, commercial and planning teams to track progress, analyse trends, and help ensure the project is delivered in line with key milestones and financial objectives.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Project Controls professional to gain exposure to a large, complex project environment, develop strong stakeholder relationships, and contribute to informed decision‑making on a high‑profile John Holland project.

What you will do;

• Support the project team with cost, schedule and performance reporting to ensure accurate visibility of project status
• Maintain and update project controls systems, including progress tracking, forecasting and trend analysis
• Assist with the preparation of weekly and monthly reports, dashboards and management summaries
• Analyse project data to identify risks, opportunities and variances, and support informed decision‑making
• Work closely with construction, commercial and planning teams to validate progress and performance data
• Contribute to continuous improvement of project controls processes, tools and reporting standards
• Ensure project controls information is accurate, timely and aligned with John Holland governance requirements

What we are looking for;

• Experience in a Project Controls, Cost Control, Planning or Reporting role within construction or infrastructure
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and communicate insights clearly]
• Proficiency with project controls systems and tools (e.g. cost reporting, scheduling, Excel‑based analysis)
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple data inputs in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work collaboratively across project teams
• A proactive mindset with a desire to learn, improve and add value on a complex major project
• Previous experience on large infrastructure or rail projects will be highly regarded
