Job Description

The Power Quality (PQ) division at Eaton Electrical provides power management solutions including uninterruptable power supplies (UPS’s), surge protective devices, power distribution units (PDU’s), remote monitoring, software, power factor correction, airflow management, rack enclosures and services. As part of our Power Quality (PQ) division at Eaton Electrical, we are looking to hire a Project Engineer/Technician to support the PMO team on EPMS projects. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise to facilitate onsite and offsite works, ongoing maintenance contracts with clients continue to develop our onsite capabilities.

Key Duties:

  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects
  • Development of project drawings, SLDs to customers as required
  • Working with internal resources to have project related technical submittals submitted and approved by client
  • Establish testing plans (ITP/ITS), on site training and oversee Software projects factory and Site commissioning and testing
  • Prepare the SWMS with assistance of Safety officer and related resources
  • Ensure Software project onsite Delivery, installation, commissioning and testing completed as per site requirements
  • Ensure designs/projects comply with relevant electrical and safety requirements and customer specifications
  • Lead the solutions to all technical related questions or inquiries from client
  • Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status
  • Prepare and manage the on-site resource schedule and plan
  • Provide regular project or progress report updates to both Eaton and clients
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
  • Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions

Qualifications:

  • Electrical/Electronic qualification.
  • Experience in installations, commissioning, fault finding and maintenance of Electrical Power Monitoring Systems/SCADA.
  • Knowledge and experience with ELV, LV, MV, UPS, ATS, STS, Switchboards and control systems/PLC’s/HMI’s.
  • Experience with database historian/sql applications.
  • Proficiency in computers, networking and software (e.g. MS Office, SAP, Visio and AutoCAD).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and control drawings and schematics.
