Job Description

Req ID:509383

At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling, and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, 80,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

Could you be the full-time Project Contract Manager in Sofia, Bulgaria we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your contract management expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dynamic and collaborative teammates.

You'll play a key role in driving proactive contract management and risk mitigation strategies, ensuring alignment with Alstom’s business objectives. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as the Project Manager and core project team), lead the development and implementation of the Contract Management Strategy Plan, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of managing extensions of time (EOTs), variation orders, and contract amendments, but also ensure meticulous record-keeping and robust file preparation for the project.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Applying the contract, claims, and insurance management manual and Alstom governance.
  • Collaborating with the core project team to prepare and update the Contract Management Strategy Plan.
  • Analyzing the contract to build and drive the implementation of the contract and claims management strategy plan, continuously updating it with the project team.
  • Monitoring work to ensure compliance with contract obligations, including tracking the project schedule to meet contractual milestones.
  • Issuing contractual notices to customers and partners in a timely manner.
  • Establishing and implementing project-specific commercial procedures, particularly regarding correspondence, notifications, insurance, variation requests/orders, and claims preparation.
  • Monitoring and managing correspondence by analyzing incoming and outgoing communications with customers and partners.
  • Developing and producing project-specific processes and methods for contract/claim management.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Degree in Law, Engineering, Business, or Finance.
  • At least 5 years of experience in contract and claims management in railway, infrastructure, or construction projects.
  • Hands-on experience working with the Public Procurement Act in Bulgaria and good knowledge of Public Procurement Law.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in Bulgarian and English.
  • Ability to anticipate and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Contract Management and Project Management tools and systems.
  • Capability to be operationally effective and accountable.

Things you’ll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines.
  • Work with innovative industry standards for rail contract management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and supportive colleagues.
  • Contribute to impactful and forward-thinking projects.
  • Utilise our inclusive and flexible working environment.
  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries.
  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning opportunities.
  • Progress towards leadership or specialized roles within the organization.
  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognizes your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension).

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
