Siemens Smart Infrastructure is looking for an experienced Project Commercial Manager to take ownership of the commercial and financial management of projects and help drive successful business outcomes.

In this role, you will partner closely with the Project Manager and project team to ensure financial results are delivered against agreed targets, while optimising project gross profit, cash flow, assets and financing instruments. You will provide commercial leadership throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring risks and opportunities are proactively identified, assessed and managed.

What you will do

You will be responsible for the completion of commercial and financial activities that contribute to project success, while supporting the broader business controlling functions. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and customer commercial representatives to resolve commercial matters and maintain strong, professional relationships.

A key part of the role will be establishing and managing effective contract and claim management, working with the Project Manager and assigned Contract Manager. You will take full commercial responsibility for identifying, evaluating and managing project risks and opportunities, developing appropriate strategies and response actions.

You will also support the selection and involvement of partners and subcontractors, represent the project at relevant internal and external decision boards, and agree commercial targets and responsibilities with project commercial staff. Through your leadership, you will foster a culture of trust, integrity and compliance with Siemens Business Conduct Guidelines.

Digitalisation will be an important part of the role. You will contribute to the rollout of global and local digital initiatives and identify and implement opportunities to improve commercial and controlling processes through digital solutions.

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience in business controlling, performance controlling and/or project controlling functions.

Strong commercial and financial management experience, ideally within complex projects or a project-based environment.

Demonstrated experience in contract and claim management, risk and opportunity management, financial controlling and stakeholder management.

The ability to work collaboratively with Project Managers, customers, contract managers, partners and subcontractors while confidently taking ownership of commercial outcomes.

Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills, with a commitment to integrity, professional conduct and continuous improvement.

An interest in digitalisation and the ability to identify opportunities to improve processes, transparency and commercial performance through digital initiatives.
