We’re looking for a Project Buyer to join us in Lisbon, Portugal.

Your Role

The Project Buyer CAPEXand Projects shall have a focus on CAPEX sourcing projects.Additionalthe Project Buyer will take on special sourcing projects on a global scale.This will help Global Procurement to provide the right degree of flexibility to organizational demands and still assume full ownership for theprocurement relatedaspects.That role will coordinate and drive the decisionfor sourcing projects of higher complexity on a global scale. That might be bundling sourcing demands, strategic sourcing or support on special projects where no clear ownership is defined yet.

The role of a Project Buyer will involve:

Project participation & planning

  • Get and then Translate project requirements (specs, timeline, budget) into a procurement plan.

  • Actively plan and host project kick-off and regular project meetings for the sourcing project

  • Align with engineering, quality, and finance.

Sourcing & supplier selection

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers (RFQ/RFI/RFP processes).

  • Obtain, compare, and negotiate offers (price, lead time, payment terms, warranties).

  • Prepare supplier selection proposals and support decision-making.

  • If necessary present the recommendation for sourcing decision in a Sourcing Board

Contracting & negotiation

  • Negotiate commercial terms and conditions with suppliers.

  • Draft, review, and coordinate contracts and framework agreements with Legal/Procurement.

  • Ensure compliance with internal guidelines and relevant regulations.

  • Negotiate framework contracts and MSA

Cost management

  • Achieve target costs for project components and services.

  • Track and report cost developments, savings, and cost risks and elevate on Total Cost of Ownership

  • Timeline & delivery assurance

  • Ensure purchased parts/services are delivered on time and in line with project milestones.

  • Monitor supplier performance and capacity; escalate delays and implement recovery plans.

Quality & risk management

  • Coordinate with Quality and Engineering to ensure parts meet technical and quality requirements.

  • Manage supplier-related risks (single-source, geo-political, capacity, compliance).

  • On demand, support Quality in their supplier audits and qualification/approval processes.

Change management

  • Handle change requests (technical, volume, scope) with suppliers.

  • Assess impact of changes on cost, lead time, and contractual terms.

  • Update purchase orders and contracts accordingly.

Documentation & reporting

  • Create and maintain purchase orders, contracts, and supplier documentation in ERP/PLM tools.

  • Provide regular status reports on purchasing activities, risks, and KPIs for the project.

  • Ensure documentation is audit-proof and in line with company standards.

Supplier relationship management

  • Act as main commercial contact for suppliers within the project.

  • Lead regular review meetings to address performance, issues, and improvement measures.

Your Experience

  • Education / ProfessionalCertification

    Bachelor Degree, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or any other related field

    Experience

    Min. 5 years in Procurement, and minimum 3 years of which in Strategic or Project Procurement Role

    Knowledge / Skills / Othercharacteristics

    Proficient English (technical and business English), GermanB2 or higher

    Hybrid model of 2 office days in the Lisbon Office
