What We're Looking For
We are a growing Transit + TOD design studio in Seattle looking for a Project Architect who brings equal parts design talent, technical skill, and production finesse. Our team is actively designing a major Sound Transit project and expanding our work with agencies and jurisdictions across the region.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a visually driven design culture—someone who can translate ideas into clear, compelling graphics and who understands how strong visual communication elevates the entire project. You should be comfortable moving fluidly between conceptual design and technical development, with the ability to model confidently in Rhino, document rigorously in Revit, and assemble graphically-rich station chapters in InDesign.
We’re looking for a collaborator who enjoys working across disciplines, contributes to a supportive and curious studio environment, and helps raise the bar for both design quality and project delivery. Our work is fast-paced, civic-focused, and rooted in creating exceptional transit experiences for the public. If you’re energized by complex urban projects, passionate about thoughtful visual storytelling, and excited to help shape the next generation of transit design, we’d love to connect.
At HNTB, you can create a career that is meaningful to you while building communities that matter to all of us. For more than a century, we have been delivering solutions for some of the largest, most complex infrastructure projects across the country. With our historic growth, it is an exciting time to join our team of employee-owners.
This opportunity entails being responsible for participation in all phases of project development including full technical support of the architecture as well as incorporation of all disciplines involved with the design. Serves as a resource to the designer and project manager as the design is developed. The role may include serving as the lead technical architect on small to medium sized projects.
