
We’reseeking a Project Architect to join our project team for the design of a confidential integrated resort—a landmark destination envisioned to redefine the relationship between architecture, landscape, and experience.
Spanning over one million square feet, the project will blend casino, food and beverage, and hotel environments with over75,000 square feetof special venue space, including an award-winning steakhouse, a rooftop bar, a collection of one-of-a-kind lounges and entertainment venues, and a world-class spa
The resort will also feature a championship golf course that connects the built environment to its natural setting in a seamless and dramatic way.
The guest tower celebrates 500 guest rooms, culminating in a range of scale and luxury experiences, highlighted by the sky suites, offering panoramic views and elevated private experiences.This project embodies the ambition to create a destination that is immersive, contemporary, and unforgettable in every detail.
Your Role
As a Gensler ProjectArchitect, your jobis to combine creativity and technical knowledge to help guide our clients. You have developed communication and team-building skills which have prepared you to manage projects. In this role, you will have opportunities to develop your existing strengths in design and technical coordination while also beginning to directly manage client relationships.
What You Will Do
Programming
Entitlements
Lead the project through Concept Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Bidding & Negotiations, Construction Administration and Project Closeout.
Obtain and negotiate consultant proposals
Prepare Consultant Contracts.
Perform technical design assignments that include programming client needs, diagramming and modeling conceptual strategies, developing conceptual designs into technical studies, and construction documentation
Engage directly with clients in coordination with client or client stakeholders to assure approvals
Manage client, team and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with engineering and specialty consultants
Support communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officials
Provide design support and documentation during completion and execution of design concepts
Work with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators
Your Qualifications
Professional degree in Architecture, demonstrated with a rigorous portfolio
Licensed Architect (US)required; Nevada or NCARB licensure preferred
8+ years of relevant architectural experience in large scale mixed use, hospitality,casinoand integrated resorts.
LEED accreditation and experience preferred
Revit mastery or other BIM experience highly preferred
Outstanding knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures
Proficient and confident in public-speaking, and in moderating large teams of consultants, contractors, and clients
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to develop collaborative relationships across the firm, with clients, and with other key constituents
