Job Description

Powering Solutions, Driving Customer Success:

MEPPI’s Critical Power Solutions Division (CPSD) is seeking a motivated Project Application Engineer I to manage quotations, technical information, submittals, orders, and customer communications for our standard solutions business. In this role, you’ll serve as the primary point of contact between customers and CPSD from quotation through order verification—ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional service.

This is an exciting opportunity to apply your technical expertise, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver solutions that keep critical power systems running reliably.

What You’ll Do

Manage Quotations & Orders:

Review RFQs and collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to prepare accurate quotations, including pricing, specifications, and Bill of Materials.

Provide Technical Support:

Serve as a technical resource for internal and external customers, supporting application engineering and onsite services as needed.

Ensure Documentation Accuracy:

Track and communicate order details, technical requirements, and customer information. Maintain compliance with MEPPI’s quality system.

Apply CPSD Products:

Identify and recommend proper application of CPSD products to meet customer needs.

Create Technical Drawings:

Develop, present, and review electrical, schematic, system, and mechanical drawings.

Promote CPSD Solutions:

Prepare written and verbal communications to describe and promote CPSD products.

Mitigate Risk & Costs:

Work with management and internal teams to minimize risk and exposure on customer and vendor orders, and evaluate cost-saving opportunities.

Participate in Testing:

Support factory witness tests as necessary.

Drive Continuous Improvement:

Identify cost improvements and suggest new product opportunities.

What You Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 0–2 years in applications engineering or technical sales in power quality/distribution.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with UPS systems, power quality equipment, batteries, and distribution switchgear.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to read and create technical drawings
    • Strong communication and presentation skills
    • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD software, and ERP systems
