  • Capex project: To drive operational excellence by identifying, designing, and executing automation and CAPEX projects that optimize manufacturing efficiency, enhance safety, and support business growth.
  • Automation: To maintain, troubleshoot, and train for all plant automation and control systems to ensure that all the systems are working effectively.
  • HSE: Ensure the HSEQ rules to be implemented at site to ensure Compliance – HSE , Engineering (PM/PRA/SOPs), EMPS and statutory with respect to engineering in the site.
  • Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, including maintenance schedules, repairs, replacements, and inspections, and providing reports to management.

Accountabilities:

CAPEX & Project Management:

  • Execute CAPEX projects from initial concept through engineering design to final commissioning.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, resources, and vendor relationships to ensure on-time and cost-effective delivery.
  • Evaluate financial viability for project proposal
  • Ensure projects to be in compliance with All HSE aspects
  • Ensure all new installations strictly comply with Syngenta engineering and HSE standards, local regulations and policies.
  • Supervise contractors: Make the schedule/ supervise
  • Document control: Hand-over record, and other project documents

Automation & Process Control

  • Design, program, and troubleshoot Robot, PLC, HMI, and other control systems to make sure these systems operate in a reliable manner
  • Maintain and upgrade existing automation hardware and software infrastructure safely and reliably.
  • Participate engineering standard program, support maintenance program, training for technicians
  • To contribute to the maintain and improve HSE and quality standard; to apply the HSEQ procedures / CoP into working process
  • Provide breakdown support (including attendance outside of normal working hours)
  • Machine history records: Maintenance historian record for machine/ equipment.
  • Propose improvements for the operation of existing systems and provision of new installations
  • Any other duties as and when required by the E&M Manager.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Automation Engineering with 3+ years of experience
  • Automation Systems: Deep understanding of PLC, HMI, SCADA, industrial robotics, industrial networking and smart manufacturing integration.
  • Knowledgeable in engineering international standard.
  • Knowledge for Computerize Maintenance Management System.
  • Familiarity with machinery safety, HSE, and compliance regulations.
  • Project Control & Estimation: Ability to estimate project costs, calculate financial impact, and manage project schedules.
  • Safety awareness: Need to be aware of safety hazards and risks associated with equipment and systems and take steps to mitigate these risks.
