The Project Analyst provides analytical, reporting, and process support to ensure the efficient operation of the Project Management Office. This role is responsible for collecting and analyzing project data, maintaining PMO tools and systems, and producing insights that enable informed decision-making. The Analyst supports project managers and leadership in ensuring consistent execution, and compliance with PMO governance standards.
Reporting, Analytics & Tools Develop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and scorecards for portfolio and project visibility.
Delivery Support Partner with PMs to track milestones, dependencies, and deliverables; prepare materials for forums.
Includes: Collect, analyze, and report on project performance metrics (e.g., schedule, budget, scope, risks).; Identify trends and provide insights to improve project outcomes. Collaborate with Project Managers to track milestones, deliverables, and dependencies.
Governance & Compliance Ensure methodology adherence and audit‑ready documentation.
Financial Support Assist with budget tracking, variance reporting, and basic forecasting.
Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, or related field. (Typically four years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)
One to two years of experience in project analysis, project coordination, or PMO support.
Proficiency with PPM tools: Oracle Primavera Cloud, Unifier, Azure Dev Ops, MS Office Suite or similar project schedule, resource and finance toolsets.
Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile, Waterfall) and PMO governance frameworks.
Ability to manage large datasets, produce clear reporting, and provide actionable insights.
Strong communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred skills: Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools. PMP, CAPM, or similar certification. Experience in a regulated or utility industry is a plus.
