Leidos’ Defense Systems Mission Assurance is seeking a Project Analyst to join our team to be responsible for supporting Quality activities and team members. The Project Analyst / Administrative Assistant supports defense-related programs and projects through analytical, administrative, and coordination activities. This role combines project tracking, reporting, documentation control, scheduling, and executive administrative support to ensure program objectives, compliance requirements, and customer deliverables are achieved efficiently and accurately.

The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, attention to detail, analytical capabilities, and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information in a highly regulated defense environment. This role will report directly to the Sr Director of Defense Sector Mission Assurance.

Primary Responsibilities.

Project Analysis & Program Support

  • Support program and project managers with planning, tracking, and execution of defense contracts and internal initiatives.
  • Monitor project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and action items.
  • Maintain project dashboards, status reports, metrics, and risk logs.
  • Assist with cost tracking, budget monitoring, and resource allocation reporting.
  • Prepare project documentation including meeting minutes, reports, presentations, and briefing materials.
  • Coordinate cross-functional communication among engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and customer teams.
  • Track contract deliverables and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Support proposal preparation, data gathering, and contract administration activities.
  • Maintain accurate project files and document control systems in accordance with company and government requirements.
  • Assist with audits, compliance reviews, and corrective action tracking.

Administrative Assistant Responsibilities

  • Manage calendars, meetings, conference calls, and travel arrangements for management and project personnel.
  • Prepare correspondence, memos, spreadsheets, reports, and presentations.
  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical filing systems.
  • Coordinate visitor access, meeting logistics, and facility support activities.
  • Process purchase requisitions, expense reports, invoices, and office supply orders.
  • Maintain records of training, certifications, and employee documentation.
  • Support onboarding activities and coordinate internal communications.
  • Answer and route phone calls, emails, and other communications professionally and efficiently.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company, customer, and government information.

Basic Qualifications.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in project coordination, administrative support, or defense industry operations.
  • Project management software and ERP systems
  • Data analysis and reporting tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in team environments.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
  • Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
  • Must be proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office products.
  • Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $48,100.00 - $86,950.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
