Job Description

UniTek Global Services is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Administrator I to support our administrative and project operations in our Hutchins Telecom Division located in Shepherdsville, KY This role is responsible for coordinating project activities, supporting accounting functions, and ensuring project documentation and schedules are maintained accurately. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience in accounting and ERP systems, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Conducts detailed job costing analysis to track labor, materials, and overhead expenses by project, ensuring accurate allocation and reporting of costs to support budgeting and profitability assessments.
  • Implements and maintains cost accounting systems to monitor variances, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights to management for cost control and operational efficiency.
  • Perform accounting tasks including accounts payable, reporting, billing, and invoicing.
  • Support the accounting team with data entry and documentation.
  • Manage office operations including answering phones, filing, scheduling appointments, and assisting visitors.
  • Monitor and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and expenditures.
  • Organize and participate in meetings; prepare presentation materials and follow up on action items.
  • Ensure project deadlines are met and documentation is properly maintained.
  • Develop project strategies and create project management calendars.
  • Coordinate project activities to ensure timelines are met.
  • Adhere to all Safety and CORP policies and procedures.
  • Support and protect the UniTek GS brand value.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of related experience in project administration, accounting, and/or job costing analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Spectrum, Ariba, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of file management and administrative procedures.
  • Must pass background check and pre-employment drug testing.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for 6–8 hours per day.
  • Typical office environment.

Salary Range: $22 to $28 per hour

This position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime pay in accordance with federal and state laws.

Bonus: Eligible for performance incentive opportunities of up to 2% of salary, based on company and individual goals and performance.
