GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Pacific University’s TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) federal grant program supports the success of students who are first-generation, low-income and who have documented disabilities.
The project assistant will report to the director and provide administrative support to the TRIO-SSS staff as well as activity management support to TRIO-SSS student project employees and participants.
The project assistant responsibilities further include coordinating the scheduling of TRIO-SSS advising sessions; assisting TRIO-SSS student workers in their collaborative leadership of project workshops and events; managing day-to-day data input; submitting required expenditure documentation to the Business Office; and, supporting the director and advisor in performing other project functions.

The Project Administrative Assistant, TRIO Program operates within established university parameters and within the scope of Pacific University’s Federal TRIO Programs: Student Support Services (SSS) Program grant from the Department of Education.
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITY
This position is not supervisory in nature, howeverthis position supervises a team of student workers across varying skill levels and manages team structure, workload distribution, and development.
