Office/Unit/Project Description
UNDP is the development arm of the United Nations. Present in 170 countries, UNDP works on the world’s biggest problems: extreme poverty, climate change, good governance, renewable energy, crisis prevention, and women’s empowerment, among others.
The UNDP Strategic Plan 2026–2029 focuses on four overarching goals: advancing prosperity for all by expanding equitable economic opportunities, strengthening effective governance to ensure accountable and inclusive institutions, boosting crisis resilience so countries can withstand and recover from shocks, and protecting a healthy planet through integrated climate and nature solutions. These goals are driven by three accelerators—digital and AI transformation, gender equality, and sustainable finance—which enable UNDP to support systemic, country‑led development pathways that leave no one behind.
The Regional Hub for Latin America and the Caribbean supports 24 countries in LAC and frames its work under the Regional Program for LAC (2026-2029) through its country offices with governments to develop tailor-made solutions to development challenges and contribute to strengthening local capacities. UNDP's LAC Environment and Energy Team (LAC E&E) supports these country offices to help Latin American and Caribbean countries advance their nature, environment, climate, waste and chemicals agendas, and to develop sound national and sectoral planning and inclusive growth policies.
Within this portfolio, the LAC E&E is implementing a series of regional projects including the regional International Climate Initiative (IKI) funded project “Accelerating Access to Low-Carbon Urban Mobility Solutions through Digitalization” (ACCESS). The five-year project supports six Latin American countries: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, and Peru, to introduce digitalization policies and tools into urban transport systems to reduce transport emissions. The project is delivered through a consortium of eight international partners with UNEP as the lead agency.
To guarantee this projects' implementation, as well as other similarly funded technical project’s, the LAC E&E Team is recruiting a Project Administrative Analyst to provide cross-country support to the LAC E&E Team, Country Offices and relevant partners.
In a complex multi-country context in LAC that demands close collaboration across several country teams, as well as ongoing interaction with global, regional, and UNDP Country Offices structures to meet donor requirements in supporting the coordination project team with the relationship between the regional E&E team, the global Digital for Planet team, and the Country Offices involved in the project. It also contributes to facilitating coordination with UNEP and ACCESS Consortium Partners, ensuring that all processes and exchanges align with IKI’s requirements.
