About the project
We’re proud to be delivering the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP), and we’re looking for the best people to help make it happen.

QTMP involves the design, manufacture and maintenance of 65 new six-car passenger trains to support Cross River Rail and the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games. These trains will be built at a new, purpose-built facility in Torbanlea on the Fraser Coast.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with operational and finance stakeholders to drive accurate reporting & analysis, provide budget management support and monitor compliance with internal policies.
• Deliver monthly reporting on project cost performance for the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
• Month end process including journals, reconciliations and produce budget variance reports by projects/departments.
• Ensure purchase orders and actual costs are accurate and controlled
• Assist with the preparation of various project claims

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent business experience
• Completed or currently completing CPA/CA/CFA (Highly desirable)
• Extensive experience in finance and accounting roles, including project accounting, analysis, budgeting & forecasting
• Previous experience in project accounting within a multi-disciplinary environment
• Previous experience with payroll costing advantageous.
• Previous experience with JDEGS or large ERP system and strong Excel capability
• Self-motivated, results-focused and able to work under pressure
• Collaborative team player with strong work ethic and the ability to manage competing priorities
