Job Description

Project Accountant will be responsible for performing day-to-day accounting activities for up to development projects.  

                Responsibilities:

  • Perform full-cycle accounting for assigned construction projects
  • Review contractor invoices for accuracy and proper coding
  • Track job costs, commitments, and accrued expenses
  • Prepare loan draw support schedules and assist with lender submissions
  • Month end close, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Prepare project-level financial statements and management reports
  • Partner with Development to understand project budgets and timelines
  • Assist with interim, quarter and year end audits, tax support, and lender reporting
  • Provide support and assistance to the shared services treasury and A/P teams as needed
  • Actively support continuous improvement and technology initiatives to enhance efficiency and ensure strong internal controls

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong US GAAP Foundation with a minimum of 2-5 years of real estate construction accounting experience
  • Yardi Voyager experience including Construction Manager module strongly preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Must be a detail-oriented, self-starter with good oral and written communication and strong time management skills.
  • Must be a team player willing to support and assist others when called upon.
