Qualifications and Experience:
The Aga Khan Education Service, Kenya (AKES, Kenya) operates 5 schools across Kenya, offering nursery to senior secondary education under national and international curricula. It is part of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) , a group of private development agencies working to improve living conditions and opportunities for all faiths and origins in developing regions.
AKES, Kenya seeks to hire a Project Accountant for a K-12 school construction project based in Nairobi, for 3 to 4 years (project-based).
Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) , with a dotted line to the Project Director, the Project Accountant oversees all financial aspects of this major construction project, ensuring integrity, compliance, and accountability throughout the lifecycle. Working closely with the CFO, Project Director, and Project Commercial Manager, the role provides accurate financial reporting, budget control, and risk management for timely and on-budget delivery.
