Manages career preparation, career exploration, personal and career counseling, and career transition readiness,
ensuring the achievement of DOL-mandated performance levels and compliance with the PRH, DOL guidelines,
contract specifications, The Bizzell Group policies, and Center or contract operating practices and procedures. This
includes interviewing, hiring, counseling, motivating, monitoring, training, and evaluating said staff; performing
outreach activities in the community; developing referral linkages for admissions; developing companies for
assignee placements; serving on program workgroups; marketing the Job Corps program; composing corrective
action plans; and monitoring departmental budgets.

Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
Computer Literacy with basic computer functions, email, internet, and basic programs such as Adobe Acrobat.
Strong knowledge of the subject area of instruction and academic teaching practices.
High level of communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills.
High level of ability to motivate, inspire, and educate students effectively.
Experience
Five years in Job Corps Management preferred, other managerial experience considered; five years experience
working with adolescents/young adults.
Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, or social work is required. Master’s degree preferred; any waiver of the
requirement must be reviewed and approved by the DOL Regional Office.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency are also required.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
