As a Project Manager at Lam, you will play a pivotal role in driving projects/programs for Global Workplace Solutions business group. You’ll be at the forefront of project initiation through delivery, using your expertise to coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure project are completed on time and within budget.

This role requires the selected candidate to be work onsite 5 days per week.

What you’ll do

• Plans facilities changes for plant, lab, and production equipment layouts, working toward economy of operation, maximum use of facilities and equipment, and compliance with laws and regulations.
• Manage the EOR completion of design drawings and lead the design reviews (point of connection of pipe, electricity, exhaust, specialty gas, chemical supply equipment, etc.)
• Prepares and solicits bid packages and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.
• Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation and other related costs.
• Inspects construction and installation progress for conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Participate in tool and facilities infrastructure installation design reviews ensuring outsourced design firms design to established Lam protocols and expectations.
• Assist in startup of gas systems and process equipment to reach process qualification on new process modules
• Drive cost reduction on projects through competitive bidding, negotiations, and contracts management
• Align and report weekly with the Lab ops customers.
• Present in the SIPP, ITP review, and ETS meetings associated with tool installations and facilities projects.
• Manages all documentation and the permitting process with EHS, Lab Ops, consultants, and the city.
• Coordinates with city inspection for Hazmat and Fire Inspections
• Oversees the successful completion of gas tool install and gas facilities infrastructure projects.
• Manages relevant stakeholders, setting deadlines, communicating with project owners/company executives about the state of the project, ensuring projects stay on track and on budget, and adjusting if necessary to meet new requirements
• Identify and resolve project challenges, ensuring projects stay on track. Identify and remove obstacles. Lead teams to solve complex problems.
• Support the site team, general contractor, and coordinate a team of consultant Project Managers for gas projects and manage multiple projects at the same time
• Run change management for projects and programs and support proper project closure.
• Manage Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work (SOWs), and Change Orders with contractors and Lam Legal for project work.
• Ensure execution, manage risks, assure adherence to program or project schedules, and performance to meet business requirements.
• Manages project scope, schedule, spends forecast, approving invoices, risk, quality and resources.

Who we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience; or Master’s degree with 3+ years’ experience; or equivalent experience.
• Related work experience in Facilities Construction Project Management, or Project/Construction management
• 3-5 years of managing a team or supervisory of project managers.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills to exchange information with senior management, service providers, workers and contractors.
• Understands all aspects and phases of the architectural, MEP design, and construction management process
• Working knowledge of SAP for use with purchase requisitions and orders
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, Project and PowerPoint capabilities
• Role may require travel to other Lam Research facilities
• Willingness to be proactive and take ownership of requests; prioritize workload and schedule to meet deadlines accordingly
• Ability to adapt to change when necessary
• Strong financial acumen and ability to present financial data.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders.
• Analytical skills to interpret and utilize data for decision support.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
