Programmes Coordinator (Administrative-Focused)

Reports To: Programme Lead / Management

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and administratively strong Programmes Coordinator to support the effective planning, coordination, documentation, and reporting of community-based health and psychosocial programmes.

This role is administration-heavy and requires strong programme coordination, record-keeping, reporting, and logistics management skills. The successful candidate will play a central role in ensuring programmes are well-structured, compliant, well-documented, and executed efficiently, particularly across cancer awareness, patient support, and community outreach initiatives

Key Responsibilities

Programme Coordination & Administration

  • Coordinate programme schedules, work plans, activity calendars, and timelines.

  • Maintain accurate programme documentation, records, and filing systems (digital and physical).

  • Provide end-to-end administrative support for programme execution, meetings, and field activities.

  • Track deliverables, deadlines, and follow-ups to ensure timely programme implementation.

Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation

  • Collect, organize, and maintain programme data, attendance records, reports, and impact metrics.

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly programme reports for management and donors.

  • Support Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) activities, including data entry, analysis, and reporting.

  • Ensure proper documentation for audits, donor reviews, and compliance purposes.

Logistics & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinate logistics for community outreaches, awareness campaigns, trainings, and support group sessions.

  • Liaise with healthcare professionals, facilitators, volunteers, vendors, and partners.

  • Manage communication with stakeholders and ensure smooth programme operations.

Compliance & Donor Support

  • Assist with grant documentation, donor reports, and programme compliance requirements.

  • Ensure activities align with approved budgets, timelines, and organizational standards.

  • Support internal controls and quality assurance across all programme activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • BSc or HND in Health Sciences, Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years experience in programme coordination, NGO administration, or development work.

  • Strong administrative, organizational, documentation, and reporting skills (mandatory).

  • Prior experience in health-focused, advocacy, or psychosocial support programmes is an advantage.

  • Experience supporting Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) activities is an added advantage.

  • High attention to detail, strong follow-through, and ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
