Are you passionate about empowering young people to build confidence, overcome barriers and achieve their full potential?

Inspire are looking for motivated and inspiring Programme Tutors to deliver The King’s Trust 12‑week Team Programme, supporting young people aged 16–25 who are not currently in education, employment or training (NEET).

This is a rewarding, hands‑on role where you’ll guide young people through a transformative personal development journey, helping them gain meaningful experiences, develop employability skills, and progress into positive next steps.

About the Programme

Working in partnership with The King’s Trust, you’ll deliver three cohorts per academic year (January, May and September), each engaging up to 16 young people.
The programme includes structured learning, community projects, work experience, employer engagement, and a 4‑day residential—where you will take a lead role in supporting and supervising participants.

Programme dates don’t follow a typical curriculum timetable and are delivered across school holidays (except for Summer and Christmas).

As a Programme Tutor, you will:

  • deliver high‑quality learning
  • plan and deliver engaging learning activities aligned to Inspire standards and the King’s Trust framework
  • create a positive, inclusive environment that supports confidence‑building, teamwork and skill development
  • assess and support learner achievement
  • complete timely assessments to help young people achieve formal qualifications
  • provide constructive feedback and track progress using internal systems such as VIEWS
  • lead activities that change lives
  • deliver all elements of the 12‑week programme, including community action, social projects, work experience and residentials
  • offer consistent pastoral support and be a positive role model throughout
  • collaborate with partners
  • build relationships with referral agencies, local organisations and employers to support recruitment and work experience opportunities
  • work closely with internal colleagues to ensure quality, safety and compliance.

You will need:

  • experience working with young people from diverse backgrounds
  • strong organisational, communication and leadership skills
  • ability to motivate and inspire young people facing multiple barriers
  • confidence in managing health, safety and safeguarding responsibilities
  • willingness to attend three residential weeks per year.

Qualifications:

  • GCSE grade C/5 in English or equivalent
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
  • Level 3 Award in Education & Training (or commitment to work toward it)
  • A full clean driving licence
  • (Additional teaching, youth work or assessment qualifications are desirable.)

About us

You’ll become part of an organisation dedicated to empowering young people and delivering life‑changing opportunities. You’ll work with a supportive team, gain experience in youth development and education, and play a key role in shaping the futures of the young people you support.

What we offer:

  • Career development: Ongoing training and clear opportunities to grow within the organisation.
  • Birthday leave: Enjoy your special day with an additional paid day off each year.
  • Gifted Christmas leave: Extra paid time off over the festive period to spend with loved ones.
