Job Description


This project involves scale-up of family planning services in 400 – 500 public health
facilities in all LGAs in each state through provision of technical assistance to the
Government on capacity building, state-wide demand generation, service provision,
SSVs, data management and reporting.

Summary of the State Service Delivery Advisor activities include.

1. State-level implementation planning and execution in all LGAs in coordination with State and LGA Reproductive Health and Family Planning Coordinators Officers for DISC and RMNCAEH+H

2. Provision of TA on Family planning and RMNCAEH+H to the State/LGA Health teams, RMNCAEH+N Stakeholders and Partners,

3. Lead health facilities and providers assessment and selection.

4. Provide supportive supervisory visits and on-the-job coaching to all LGA RH/FP supervisors to achieve technical and providers competency on SRH and FP services.

5. Ensure quality of care standards are maintained in all DISC supported facilities and outreaches.

6. Ensures improved method continuation amongst beneficiaries

7. Engage actively with State RH/RMNCAH TWG and LMCU for promotion of SFH brand, integration, and all year-round product availability in supported health facilities and outreach sessions.

8. Support policy engagements to aid institutionalisation of the SFH positions and solutions into the State RMNCAEH+N response


Requirements


  • Bachelor Nursing/Midwifery, Pharmacist, Medical Doctor and any other health-related field

  • At least 5 years’ experience Post-NYSC of supporting women to initiate and continue family planning, especially injectables and other STM with strong mobilisation and promotional skills.

  • Experience in health system strengthening, monitoring and evaluation will be an added advantage.

Technical:

1. Significant knowledge of FP in Nigeria.

2. Must possess a flair for women’s reproductive health in Nigeria.

3. Good knowledge of critical stakeholders

4. Report writing and data interpretation skills.

5. Supervisory and mentoring skills.

6. High level of integrity
