Programme Manager/ Technical Assistant

Derby (Hybrid)

Full Time – 37 Hours Per week

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and motivated individual to perform a role that sits at the heart of the Civil Aerospace business. Working closely with the Director of Portfolio Planning and their leadership team you’ll gain first hand insight into how we drive performance across our operational and investment planning, ensuring alignment between these forecasts and our long-term strategy, as well as maximising value for the Civil Aerospace business, ensuring we deliver on our financial commitments.

What you will be doing:

  • Programme managing key strategic Portfolio Planning priorities such as Demand Planning improvement which is reported to Rolls-Royce CEO at regular intervals, working collaboratively across the team and Civil Aerospace to ensure an integrated approach across SIOP, S&OE and Demand Planning
  • Leading a programme marketing the work done by the Portfolio Planning team across the broader Civil Aerospace and Group enterprise to ensure understanding of key decisions made, improvements being driven and supporting the belonging activity in the team
  • Manage the annual calendar for the team in accordance with the Civil Aerospace Leadership Team (CALT) and Group core meetings preparing presentations, papers and agendas for key meetings and events.
  • Capturing, organising and following-up on actions and outcomes from leadership team meetings, as well as preparing monthly CEO Board Report inputs.
  • Completing day-to-day tasks for the Director – Portfolio Planning and first line as required.
  • Supporting the Director – Portfolio Planning and wider leadership team on specific data analyses, project work and preparation of presentations and papers.

Preferred requirements:

  • Driven and outcome focussed.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated high achievement in their roles to date within the Company.
  • Programme Management capability.
  • Competence in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • An adaptable and resilient style.
  • The ability to work with minimal instruction and lead autonomously.
