We are looking for a skilled and motivated Programme Manager to join our team leading on the delivery of a major cross tenure adaptations programmes across the city to assist disabled residents to live independently at home.

About the Role:
As Programme Manager, you will be responsible for the development, management and successful delivery of major cross tenure adaptations programmes across the city from inception through to completion. Working closely with technical surveying teams, contractors, professional services and stakeholders, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
You will lead project planning, procurement activities, contract management, stakeholder engagement, risk management and programme performance monitoring, while maintaining a strong focus on customer experience and value for money.
Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a confident and experienced project professional who can successfully lead complex programmes in a housing construction and adaptations environment.
• Lead the delivery of major cross tenure adaptations programmes across the city to assist disabled residents to live independently at home
• Manage procurement processes, contract awards and contractor performance
• Develop project specifications, business cases, reports and briefing papers
• Manage project budgets, costs and expenditure profiles
• Build effective relationships with technical professionals, tenants, occupational therapists, elected members, contractors and partner organisations
• Manage project risks and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements, including Construction (Design and Management) Regulations
• Ensure excellent communication and consultation throughout project delivery
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation across housing adaptations programmes.
ROLE AND PURPOSE
To provide effective, skilled and experienced management of projects within the Housing Investment programme, undertaking refurbishment and maintenance of the Council’s 24,000 Housing Stock making a positive impact on people’s living standards.
You will work with technical surveying resources to develop and manage from conception to completion a number of housing refurbishment/maintenance projects, contracts and programmes.
To manage projects and programmes including supporting the procurement/letting of contracts budgets, outputs with direct management of contracts/contractors to achieve agreed project objectives.
The post will focus on delivering and working within the Housing Investment Team engaging with other internal Council departments, and its key delivery partners as well as other contracting organisations.
To undertake stakeholder consultation and engagement processes throughout the duration of the projects in order to ensure successful communications with tenants and inform the successful delivery of high-quality outcomes. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
