The Program/Business Analyst Senior supports data collection and analysis efforts for a designated division within a federal agencyThe Business Analyst creates methods and manages systems to capture, collect, and visualize bed capacity, financial, and other data related to division activities while collaborating with other federal and contractor personnel on related tasks
Position Duties
Maintain dashboards, SharePoint Lists, and leadership reports to track bed capacity, funding status, delivery dates and other program specific information
Train staff in the use of information systems and data collection tools
Conduct business analysis and work with system developers to capture requirements related to division and care provider activities
Develop dashboards in Tableau, Palantir, Salesforce, and other systems to visualize data related to care providers
Support efforts to maintain the division SharePoint site; to include managing user permissions, webparts, training resources, and navigating workflows to collect approvals and signatures
Manage and ensure the integrity of care provider demographics, portal capacity data, program contact, stop placement, staffing, site visits, and licensure
Assist with the organization of files and documents across division shared drive and SharePoint Site
Support and fulfill data requests by internal and external entities and agencies
Manage Tableau, Palantir, Portal, and Salesforce Program management account creation process for care providers and project officers
Collaborate and work with various staff to enhance the collection and analysis of program data
Assist in identifying care provider trends, performance outcomes, and indicators
Conduct high-level data interpretation and analysis using a data analytics platform
Prepare written summaries and presentations that reflect the results of the data analysis and present findings to teamagency leadership
Provide ad-hoc data reporting as needed
Oversee the quality and the production of analytical reports related to funding and bed capacity, capacity projections, intakes, transfers, and other topics as needed
Track funds and create memos to assist with the disbursement of grant funds
Manage the bed capacity data collection system and support efforts to train care provider staff
Assist with projects that support the continual improvement of data analysis and collaboration amongst teams.
Compile, analyze, and visualize data using a data visualization platform such as Tableau
Assist in the building of data repositories, databases, data dictionaries, and distribution lists.
Conduct weekly meetings across the division to discuss capacity goals, requests, and resources needed to improve data quality
Qualifications:
BA/BS degree and at least 7 years of experience with quantitative and qualitative data interpretation and analysis, 5 years with a Master’s degree.
Working knowledge of data visualization platformsto include generating and maintaining Tableau dashboards.
Exceptional analytical skills, to include working knowledge of SQL, scripting languages (Python/R), and relational databases.
Strong attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Advanced skills in Excel and Office 365.
Experience working with immigrants, refugees, and underserved populations is preferred
Additional Requirements:
This position requires an existing Public Trust or the ability to obtain one.
This role and associated duties will be performed on site at a government facility located in Washington, DC.
The likely salary range for this position is $93,662 - $120,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
