SGS is seeking a Program Technical Coordinator to support the delivery of our GFSI-recognised food certification programs, with a primary focus on FSSC 22000 and BRCGS Food Safety. This role provides critical technical, accreditation, and program support, including audit preparation, technical reviews, certification decisions (as required), and stakeholder coordination for our clients.

What you’ll be doing

  • Client documentation Review: Review and approve client documents and prepare for audits as per standard and SGS requirements.
  • Technical Reviews: Conduct technical reviews of audit reports, non-conformances, corrective actions, and root cause analyses to ensure strict compliance with FSSC 22000, BRCGS, and/or other SGS unaccredited/accredited standards.
  • Program Coordination: Coordinate with auditors, clients, global affiliates, and internal teams to meet program timelines and KPIs.
  • Systems Management: Maintain accurate audit documentation, databases, schedules, and SGS systems to ensure audit trails are robust and compliant.
  • Technical Support: Serve as the subject matter expert, responding to customer and technical enquiries regarding FSSC 22000 and BRCGS standards in a timely manner.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

  • Education: Degree in Food Science or a closely related scientific discipline.
  • Industry Experience: Minimum 3–5 years’ experience working in food manufacturing within a Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or technical role. Experience conducting internal or external technical reviews is highly advantageous.
  • Standards Expertise: Strong, practical understanding of GFSI certification environments—specifically deep working knowledge of FSSC 22000 and/or BRCGS.
  • Training: Completed a 2-day Principles & Applications of HACCP course. Lead Auditor qualifications in FSSC 22000 or BRCGS are highly regarded.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail, capable of managing and reviewing complex technical files accurately.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interface effectively with plant managers, auditors, and QA teams.
  • Work Style: Customer-focused, process-driven, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
