• Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $90,648 to $101,076 pa + super

Our Biodiversity Licensing and Programs team is currently seeking to appoint a Program Support Officer, Biodiversity Licensing and Programs.

Join a team that supports the delivery of biodiversity conservation licensing programs across New South Wales. As a Program Support Officer, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth operation of regulatory and administrative processes that help protect the state's unique environment and biodiversity. Working within a collaborative and supportive team, you will provide essential program support across a range of activities, helping deliver quality services to customers, landholders and stakeholders while contributing to meaningful environmental outcomes.

This is a diverse and fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You will assist with the administration of biodiversity licensing programs, including processing applications and renewals, managing records and payments, responding to enquiries and supporting program activities and stakeholder engagement. With a strong focus on customer service, accuracy and continuous improvement, you will work closely with colleagues across the business to enhance processes, maintain data integrity and ensure efficient service delivery.

The team has been newly established to provide a consolidated approach to regulating biodiversity management and will be overseeing significant and exciting reforms. The role offers exposure to contemporary project management practices and the opportunity to develop your skills while supporting the successful delivery of priority programs.

About You

You are an organised and adaptable professional with experience supporting programs, projects or operational teams in a complex environment. You thrive in roles that require strong attention to detail, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes. Your well-developed organisational skills, coupled with your ability to confidently use a range of business systems and technology, enable you to effectively support high-volume workflows and maintain accurate information.

You are also a strong communicator who enjoys working with a diverse range of people and explaining complex topics in an approachable way. Whether responding to enquiries, coordinating activities or building productive relationships with stakeholders, you bring a collaborative approach and a commitment to achieving positive outcomes. You are proactive, reliable and motivated by the opportunity to contribute to a team that plays a key role in supporting biodiversity conservation across NSW.
