Program Support Officer

  • Maximum Term until 30 June 2027
  • 0.8 – 1 FTE - Full-time or part-time
  • Based in Carnarvon

ABOUT THE ROLE

Based in the Carnarvon office, the Program Support Officer will provide reception and administrative support to programs and services delivered in the Gascoyne region to facilitate an efficient and effective level of support for families.

The reception is the first point of contact for the public. As such, it is essential this role provide a pleasant, courteous and professional presence to welcome and interact with a diverse range of clients.

DUTIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide reception and administrative support to Gascoyne programs.
  • Ensure all incoming phone calls are attended to promptly and transferred to the appropriate program.
  • Book and confirm appointments for parenting consults, workshops or general meetings
  • Provide professional and courteous assistance to internal and external stakeholders as first point of contact.
  • Prepare and perform administrative functions for meetings and events
  • Work alongside the Carnarvon teams to ensure all processes and requirements of Ngala are met.

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will be highly organised and have strong communication skills together with the following:

  • Previous relevant experience to undertake the range of activities required.
  • Intermediate level IT and Administration competency.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment using initiative, innovation, creativity and flexibility.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.

Role requirements

  • Possession of a current National Police Certificate (obtained within the last 6 months).
  • Possession of current WA driver’s licence.
  • Possession of a Working with Children Check Clearance.
