Position Summary

The Program Supervisor is responsible for managing the Family Behavior Therapy (FBT) team and supervising the Family Behavior (FBT) Therapy Therapists in their day-to-day implementation of the FBT model. The Program Supervisor is primarily responsible for serving as the clinical leader and direct supervisor for the team of therapists, as well as providing Family Behavior Therapy to a small caseload of families. The Team Supervisor carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws as well as to FBT model fidelity.

Essential Responsibilities

Clinical and Support

  • Accepts referrals from CYS.
  • Provides FBT to a reduced caseload of families.
  • Assumes responsibility for monitoring service intensity for billing and regulatory purposes.
  • Reviews and assesses protocol checklists to ensure all materials and tasks are prepared for sessions

Quality Improvement

  • Oversees and holds staff accountable to the systems developed to ensure compliance with documentation of all Program activities.
  • Oversees staff practices to ensure compliance with regulations/model fidelity in keeping with Pressley Ridge policy, procedure, values, and standards of professional and ethical conduct.
  • Monitors services, case records and required paperwork to conform to state regulations and model fidelity.
  • Participates in the recruitment, interviewing and training of potential new employees; provide program and organizational orientation to new hires.

Communication

  • Develops a system of communication between programs and with other program supervisors.

Supervision

  • Receives supervision.
  • Receives supervision from and actively communicates with supervisor on an ongoing basis throughout the week by phone, email, written message and when possible, in person regarding program matters.
  • Provides supervision.
  • Supervises staff directly or their supervisors depending upon the personnel actions including action plans, hiring, terminations, recruitment, vacation and sick day requests. Ensures that program staffing is qualified and provides continued safety of children served with high rates of success/program completion.
  • Provides live supervision and review of video- taped sessions to monitor model fidelity and provide feedback to FBT Therapists

Community Engagement

  • Maintains collaborative working relationship with referral source (CYS) and other providers and agencies in the System of Care.
  • Attends scheduled management team meetings, program development planning, supervisory meetings, etc.
  • Participates on program, agency, and system of care committees (i.e. quality improvement, Steering Committee, etc.) as assigned.
  • Cooperates and partners, including case workers, supervisors, and administrative staff to ensure satisfaction with program services.

Documentation

  • Completes all required paperwork.
  • Submits to the Program Director all required program documentation and data in timelines prescribed by the Program Director.
  • Completes written work that is legible, accurate and use professional language.
  • Meets timelines for submitting paperwork established by the program and organization.

Risk Management and Safety

  • Ensures assigned staff comply with the safety program.

Professional Development

  • Participates in available clinical and leadership training provided internally and externally.
  • With the approval of the Program Director, periodically attends local, state, or national conferences and workshops.
  • With approval of the Program Director, provides in-service/training to other programs.

Essential Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in a human services field. Master’s degree in a human services field preferred.
  • Must be eligible for professional licensure and/or hold licensure.
  • Requires a valid state driver’s license, current insurance and registration, and has reliable vehicle.
  • Requires two (2) years of direct experience in social services.
  • Clearances. State Police/FBI per state regulations; Child Protection; Mandated Reporter.
