Job Duties
The Program Supervisor is responsible for on-site oversight and supervision of the staff, programming, and operations at one satellite location of the Learning Community Center of South Omaha (LCCSO). The Program Supervisor is a relationship-builder with school families and staff alike, supporting the recruitment of new families to the program and sharing about our program with teachers, administrators, and school staff. Ensures alignment with the mission, policies, and procedures of the main center. The School Program Supervisor works at one elementary school but also serves other schools in the area.
School-Based Program & Operational Support:
- Supervises participant arrival and dismissal, tracks supplies, and equipment. Supports the effective cleaning and maintenance of spaces by coordinating with OPS and OneWorld. Creates a warm and welcoming environment for staff, participants, and visitors alike.
- In collaboration with the Director, ensures the continuous safety of parents, children, visitors, and staff. Greets and assists all visitors, including class facilitators, and serves as the on-site point person for visitors, families, and staff.
- Hires, orients, trains, and oversees the day-to-day effectiveness of the child learning and program assistant staff at the school site. Connects with other departments across the organization to ensure fair distribution of work between the staff. Oversees transportation to the school satellite.
- Provides coverage and/or assistance as needed in child learning and reception.  Drives the company minibus for transportation as needed.
Child-Centered Programming:
- Maintains an updated work plan for the child learning team that is aligned with strategic goals and objectives.  Establishes fair distribution of work duties amongst the child learning staff. Manages staffing to make sure the team is neither over- nor under-staffed during the program year and during the summer. Requests supplies for child learning rooms and tracks expenses.
- Ensures that the environment in the child learning rooms, the outside play area, and the center building as a whole are all safe and positive learning environments for children and families, with a special focus on building social-emotional skills.

Additional tasks may be assigned as needed to support the business, and responsibilities may evolve to meet the changing needs of the organization.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in Education, Social Services, or related field.
- One or more years of management experience preferred.
- Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in both English and Spanish (written, verbal, presentational) required.
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities for accomplishing assigned work, implement action plans, and meet deadlines.
- Must possess high attention to detail, organizational skills, and record-keeping skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to cultural respect and understanding and value of diversity.
- Ability and willingness to work occasional weekday evenings.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record with completion of the Mini Bus Driver Safety class required.
