Program Specialist, Technology Solutions

100% Remote within California, Must reside in California

We are seeking a Program Specialist to join the Foundation in its mission of benefitting, supporting, and enhancing the California Community Colleges—the largest and most diverse system of higher education in the nation. The Foundation for California Community Colleges is on a mission to double its impact in the next 10 years. We are a group of relentless optimists and innovators in education, working collaboratively with public and private partners to help improve the student experience and expand pathways to economic and social mobility in communities across California.

What You’ll Do

The Program Specialist, Technology Solutions, owns the day-to-day delivery and account management of programs within the FoundationCCC’s technology portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Program Services, this position serves as an Account Manager for the Program Pathways Mapper (PPM), developing deep, specialized expertise in the product and owning assigned college relationships across the full lifecycle, from initial inquiry through go-live, annual curriculum map updates, and ongoing support. The role requires becoming completely familiar and comfortable with the tool, knowing it inside and out in order to support users effectively, recognize pain points, and surface actionable feedback to the team to inform product improvements.

This individual works independently to maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, meeting regularly with users to understand and address their needs, problem-solving and resolving issues, and supporting users through office hours and convenings. They independently manage follow-up on tickets with both the product team and users, and provide reporting, including Google Analytics usage reports, to support adoption. The Program Specialist works closely with Product Specialists and internal cross-functional teams to ensure effective coordination and delivery. While this position initially supports the Program Pathways Mapper, the programs supported may shift based on business needs.

  • Serve as an Account Manager for assigned Program Pathways Mapper colleges, independently owning each relationship across the full lifecycle, from initial inquiry through go-live, annual curriculum map updates, and ongoing support
  • Develop deep, specialized expertise in the Program Pathways Mapper, becoming completely familiar with the tool to support users effectively and represent the product with confidence
  • Take ownership of stakeholder needs by meeting regularly with users, listening to feedback, and communicating with Product Specialists and internal teams to support product performance and user satisfaction
  • Lead trainings for program users using established training materials and curricula
  • Prepare and deliver product demos and presentations to prospective and current users
  • Support change management efforts, helping users adapt to new processes, features, and program transitions with patience and clear communication

Attributes for Success

  • Relevant BA/BS, equivalent work experience, or a combination of both
  • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience in program support or coordination
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Zoom, and other collaboration tools
  • Experience with Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence, Service Desk); JIRA for task tracking preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, professionalism, and adherence to brand guidelines
  • Exercises good judgment and works effectively in a high-performing team
  • Ability to develop deep product expertise and serve as a knowledgeable, go-to resource for assigned accounts
  • We’re recruiting for mission-driven, passionate, equity-minded individuals with a strong desire to impact and change people’s lives for the better
  • Our work holds great weight and responsibility, and the opportunity to impact the lives of millions
  • Innovation, creativity, collaboration, and entrepreneurship are encouraged as employees work to achieve organizational goals
