Responsibilities

Program Specialist - What You'll Do

  • Assist staff in ensuring safety of ambulatory/mobile residents by offering activities
  • Work with interdisciplinary team to identify behavioral/health and safety concerns
  • Assist in developing Health and Safety/Behavior Support Plans
  • Responsible for compiling information for monthly and quarterly documentation
  • Learn the IHP/ISP Timeline over the course of 6 to 12 months
  • Develop and train staff on behavioral/health and safety plans

Qualifications

Program Specialist - What We're Looking For

  • Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years' experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years' experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities)
  • Experience working in a long term care or hospital setting
  • Experience with pediatric population
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Organized, dependable, and able to multitask
  • Friendly and professional

This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
