
Background:
The Construction Readiness Directorate has been established to ensure a dedicated focus to support organizational preparedness for simultaneous construction of VIRGINIA and COLUMBIA Class Submarines. The Program Representative position will be an integral part of this team, assisting in the sustainment and improvement of the OWL program within Operations.

General Description of Position:
The Program Representative will team with the Program Supervisor, and various Project Leads to ensure Operations has the correct skills, tools, and processes to plan and assign work through the OWL program.
The Program Representative will work closely with Operations Managers, Area Superintendents / General Foremen and Operations Supervisors to drive plan accuracy and utilization of daily expectations, as well as identify and implement future improvements of the program.
The ideal candidate for this position can recognize improvement opportunities within the current Operations processes and has the desire to affect positive change.
This position requires a high degree of professionalism, political savvy, and clear, concise communication with all levels of management. This position offers the successful candidate leadership and project management experience within Operations.

Electric Boat has designed and delivered 17 of the U.S. Navy’s 20 classes of nuclear submarines. Now in its second centennial of submarine building, EB is the design yard and prime contractor for the Virginia-class submarine program, currently in production. EB is also designing and developing the Columbia-class ballistic-missile submarine which will replace the current Ohio class beginning in 2027.
