Job Description

As a Program Purchasing Specialist, you will be an integral part of our Supply Chain team, contributing to the successful launch of new products. Your role is crucial in coordinating material supplies, managing shortages, and collaborating with suppliers to meet our production needs. You will work closely with our R&D and NPI teams, ensuring a smooth flow of materials and resolving any issues that may arise. Your impact will be felt across the organization, as you help drive our product development initiatives forward.

  • Ensure on-time material availability for R&D and NPI locations, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to meet production deadlines.
  • Manage material shortage escalations, implementing proactive measures to mitigate risks and maintain a steady supply chain.
  • Control and oversee the process of non-conforming material returns and re-work, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Foster strong supplier collaboration, building relationships and negotiating to secure the best deals and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Implement effective inventory management strategies, optimizing stock levels and minimizing waste.
  • Clarify and resolve invoice errors, working closely with finance and suppliers to ensure accurate billing.
  • Collaborate with the NPI team to ensure the use of quality materials, maintaining high standards throughout the product development process.

You have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but we also value relevant work experience and transferable skills.
  • Excellent proficiency in Excel and other MS Office tools is essential, as is a strong understanding of SAP.
  • Experience in supply chain management, procurement or product development
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Problem-solving and analytical prowess, along with an independent and proactive work ethic, are key to success in this role.

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Knowledge of Finnish is a plus, but not a requirement, as we value a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Kindly note that you must be located in Finland since international relocation support is not available for this position.
