We are strengthening our team with a Program Purchasing Buyer for our location at El Salto.

What can you look forward as a Program Purchasing Buyer:

• Ensure part availability and purchasing readiness throughout all project phases, coordinating sourcing activities, supplier nominations, and procurement timing to support program objectives.
• Lead cross-functional purchasing activities for new product launches and ongoing programs, acting as the primary interface between Purchasing, Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Logistics, and suppliers.
• Manage APQP and PPAP deliverables for purchased components, ensuring supplier readiness, compliance with customer requirements, and achievement of project milestones.
• Administer and monitor Bills of Materials (BoMs), project costs, purchasing budgets, tooling investments, and profitability targets, ensuring alignment with established financial objectives.
• Coordinate supplier selection, readiness reviews, and launch activities, monitoring tooling, production capacity, ramp-up plans, quality performance, and overall supplier preparedness.
• Drive engineering change management (ECR/ECO) activities, evaluating impacts on cost, timing, sourcing strategy, supplier performance, and supply chain continuity.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate sourcing, quality, logistics, and supplier-related risks, leading cost optimization, localization, productivity, and value-improvement initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support project governance and reporting processes, including Functional Gate Reviews, KPI tracking, supplier performance monitoring, stakeholder communication, issue escalation management, and customer/project status updates

Your profile as a Program Buyer:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or related field.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Experience in automotive purchasing, project management, or supply chain.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and supplier launch activities.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and project management skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint) and Power BI / SAP knowledge is preferred.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
• Proactive mindset and strong problem-solving abilities /Excellent communication and teamwork skill
