Come Drive Innovation with Us. We are currently looking for a Nissan Digital Program and Planning Manager to join our team in Franklin, TN.

The Program and Planning Manager owns delivery execution for one or more products/value streams. They ensure the team delivers against committed outcomes, adhere to product lifecycle standards, and continuously improve flow, quality, and customer impact.

A Day in the Life:

The responsibilities listed are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties for this role. Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed, to support business objectives.

  • Own product delivery plan and sprint/quarterly commitments; maintain backlog health; ensure DoR/DoD compliance. Outcome: ≥90% commitment reliability per quarter; <10% scope churn post commit.

  • Optimize flow (cycle time, WIP, lead time) using lean/agile practices; remove impediments quickly. Outcome: 20–30% cycle time reduction within 2 quarters.

  • Drive product quality and reliability (defect density, MTTR, availability targets). Outcome: ≤X defects/KLOC; MTTR < Y hours; availability ≥ 99.9% (targets set with product owner).

  • Execute releases on a predictable cadence with risk-based change management. Outcome: ≥95% release success rate; zero Sev1 incidents attributable to release process.

  • Manage vendors for execution (deliverables, staffing, daily performance). Outcome: Vendor sprint goals ≥90% met; benchmarks within cost/quality thresholds.

  • Support intake & prioritization with data (sizing, ROI, risk) for the product area. Outcome: Clear, ranked backlog; top 10 epics have estimates, benefits, and risks documented.

  • Continuously improve ways of working (retros, kaizen, A/B tests on process changes). Outcome: At least 1 improvement implemented per quarter with measurable effect.

Who We’re Looking for:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 10 or more years of IS/IT experience.

  • Five or more years as an intermediate level manager or supervisor, providing leadership, coaching, guidance, and training and contributing to staff development.

  • Experience supervising subordinates or contractors whose roles were diverse in roles and objectives (e.g., Project Managers, Solution Architects, Business Analysts, etc.).

  • Ability to work on-site in Franklin, TN.

Desired:

  • Technology, Management or Program/project management certifications is a plus.

  • Cloud Practitioner certification is preferred.

  • Ability to apply agile methods (Scrum/Kanban), CI/CD, test automation, and DevSecOps practices.

  • Ability to understand target architecture and standards, as well as to ensure solutions conform.

  • Ability to use work management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps/Jira), CI/CD pipelines, observability (APM/logging), and collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint).
