Job Description

Schedule:5am - 1:30pm (M-F) | Rotating Weekends | Provider on Call Schedule

Compensation:$135 - 175/hr

The Program Physician provides medical care for patients with substance use disorders, focusing on Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). This role is responsible for patient evaluation, diagnosis, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT), while ensuring safe, compliant, and effective care delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Perform physical exams, medical histories, and required lab reviews.
  • Diagnose substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions.
  • Prescribe and adjust MAT (methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone).
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
  • Review labs, drug screens, and diagnostic results.
  • Document care accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external providers.
  • Provide clinical guidance and supervise medical staff as required.
  • Support training, team meetings, and quality initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Maintain availability for clinical consultation as needed.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO with active state license and DEA registration.
  • Board certified in a relevant specialty.
  • Completed accredited residency program.
  • Experience in addiction medicine or behavioral health preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required.
