About the role :
We are hiring a
Program Officer to support the implementation of our Schools Program in 3
districts (Bidar, Raichur, Bagalkot) of Karnataka, Raichur being the base
location. This role will focus on effective program delivery, mentoring master
trainers and teachers, facilitating student-led innovation events like
Ideathons and Hackathons, and managing district-level stakeholder engagement.
The ideal candidate will bring experience in teaching, strong training and
communication skills, and a deep understanding of working with government
systems and education programs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Timely delivery of tasks while exhibiting hands-on
knowledge of the job
Programme Implementation and Planning
· Responsible for effective program delivery of Master
Trainer(MT) cascade with targeted MTs and teachers across 3 districts - Bidar,
Raichur, Bagalkot
· Play the role of mentor and supporter to a master
trainer and teacher in the planning and execution of Ideathon and Hackathon
process with 8th-10th grade students across all the Karnataka Residential
Educational Institutions Society (KREIS) schools across 3 districts - Bidar,
Raichur, Bagalkot
· Ensure MTs and teachers conduct Ideathon and Hackathon
with 8th-10th grade students across all the Karnataka Residential Educational
Institutions Society (KREIS) schools across 3 districts - Bidar, Raichur,
Bagalkot. Coordinate with assigned MTs to ensure the deliverables
· Ensure chatbot is error free and support MTs and
teachers in completion of milestones on the chatbot
· Organize and co-facilitate hackathons at the school
level to engage and support students in identification of problem statements,
identify solutions, and building prototypes.
· Facilitate the process of recognition in the district
and ensure identification of best practices
· Ensure and organize share-out events at the district
level for teachers and students to showcase their work
· Design and facilitate the CoP and WhatsApp engagement
plan to engage effectively, to nudge, clarify questions, and share reflections
on I&H content and process with MTs and teachers
· Regular phone calls/school visits to observe classroom
engagement and provide on-ground support to the Master Trainer and Teachers
· Any issue regarding the dashboard and technical
glitches related to content on the chatbot should be reported, and a follow-up
with ed-tech for resolution
· Organise and facilitate bi-monthly catch-up call with
master trainer to check pulse regarding their post-training engagement plan,
and document the achievements and challenges for further reporting and action
· Facilitate and Document MT quarterly catch-ups with the
District & DIET Department to update them on-ground shifts and impacts
2. Timely and effective delivery of cascade training
through the master trainer
· Coordinate with the program coordinator, learning
experience officer, and master trainer to plan and execute the cascade training
at the block and district levels.
· Maintain all data and documentation related to cascade
training
· Be present and part of in-person training at the block
and district levels
· Support master trainers to plan, design, and deliver
training effectively
3. Relationship Management - Stakeholders
· Build relationships with the District government
officials, principals, school heads, and teachers to facilitate smooth
implementation of the Program, including liaisoning, conducting orientations,
monthly review meetings, monitoring visits, etc.
· Along with the program team, participate in meetings
and reviews at the block and district levels
· Be the focal point for the MTs and teachers, and school
heads in the schools, and keep them informed about the progress of work and
plan along with them.
4. Reporting
· Support the M & E team to implement monitoring
tools as per the project framework
· Compile the field-level report and data as per the
framework
· Document and share the best practices in the schools
for publication in monthly and quarterly reports.
· Provide regular written and verbal reports tracking
progress against the work plan and implementation schedules
· Support with the documentation of
training/meeting/event reports
· Support the coordination of baseline/endline and other
assessments
· Be available for regular line management meetings and
the appraisal processes.
· Documenting and designing plans for following up with
selected learners for in-depth intervention to encourage them to transition
into higher education
· Maintain data regarding MTs, teachers, and student
engagement progress through the chatbot.
· Regularly check dashboard data and ensure it’s
error-free and updated, and ensure M&E adherence and quality
5. Adherence to Systems and Processes
· Ensure People and financial policy and procedure are
adhered to by the team
· Participate in team meetings, reviews, and staff
engagement activities
· Adhere to all the finance and HR policies of the
organization

Required Attributes:
· 1-2 years’ experience in teaching, mentoring, or
education program delivery
· Proven experience working with government stakeholders
· Strong skills in training delivery, communication, and
report writing
· Willingness to travel frequently within districts
· Fluency in Kannada (spoken and written)
· Brownie Points: Prior exposure to or interest in STEM
mindset, computational thinking or critical thinking approaches in education
Salary
: The pay band for the
position starts at Rs. 37,000/- per month (cost to company) (The salary offered
will be commensurate with the experience and expertise of the candidate)
Contract Duration
: Fixed-term
contract for 11 months, from May 2026 to March 2027.
