Your mission, roles and responsibilities

The Program Manufacturing Leader is responsible for all the manufacturing aspects of the programs. His/her mission last from the Acquisition phase till SOP (Start of Production) + 6 months

Reporting to: PML Manager

Key roles and responsibilities

[As PML]

  • Communicate with Process engineer and EOL/Equipment Engineer to review and validate the manufacturing processes and tooling for new products
  • Manages process definition and production equipment definition and launch, in accordance with Customer and internal specifications, legal requirements and Faurecia standards / best practices,
  • Ensures robustness of process FMEA,
  • Coordinates the Manufacturing Team,
  • Manage the CAR (System for capital expenditure approval) and respect equipment and tooling budget
  • Ensure Design for manufacturing through concurrent engineering
  • activities with product engineers
  • Lead PFMEA until equipment approval into the plant
  • Study, develop in detail, validate, release and set-up the
  • complete Production System of the program in the plant:
  • equipment and tool interfaces, layout, process flow charts,
  • material and information flow diagram in accordance with the
  • Business Group standards(Generic concept) and program objectives.
  • Coordinate work package tasks and ensure their accomplishment
  • Ensure that manufacturing milestones are passed successfully and on time.
  • Support with suppliers for design, validation of tooling, machines.
  • Assess and make improvements and changes balancing automation and manual processes
  • Ensure the launches of new program on the cost, capacity and quality in the plant.
  • Manage the feasibility assessments and quote industrialization to new program as acquisition phases.
  • Organize the support to Design and Quality Engineering with root-cause analysis of manufacturing problems
  • Lead the support to Production and Quality Engineering on legacy processes and products
  • Drive the team and accomplish to the program and industrial objectives
  • Ensure a safe working environment complying with HSE regulations and standards (health, safety, and environment)

  • lead global standardization of core manufacturing technologies(Screwing, Dispensing, Inspection system, AOI, New and emaring manufacturing tecnoogies
  • Define best practices, lessons learned, and technical strategies across programs and plants

    • コンカレントエンジニアリングを通じた「製造性を考慮した設計(DfM)」の推進
    • 設備承認までのPFMEAを主導
    • プログラムの生産システム(設備、レイアウト、工程フロー、物流・情報フロー)を設計・検証・導入
    • 各ワークパッケージの進捗管理と確実な完了
    • 製造マイルストーンのオンタイム達成を保証
    • サプライヤーと協力し、設備・治具の設計および検証を支援
    • 自動化と手作業のバランスを考慮した改善提案
    • コスト・生産能力・品質を満たした新規プログラム立上げを実現
    • 新規案件の実現性評価および工業化見積対応
    • 製造問題に対する原因分析において設計・品質部門を支援
    • 既存プロセス・製品に対する製造および品質部門の支援
    • プログラムおよび工業化目標達成に向けたチームの牽引
    • 安全・衛生・環境(HSE)規則遵守の徹底

      技術エキスパートとして】

      • コア製造技術(ねじ締結、ディスペンシング、検査、AOI、新技術など)のグローバル標準化をリード
      • 各プログラム・拠点におけるベストプラクティス、知見、技術戦略の定義

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • English level: fluent level to interact within the team
  • Japanese level: fluent level to interact within the team
  • License: Driver’s license
  • Other qualifications:

Experience:

Must

  • Minimum 5 to 10 years’ experience Automotive Electronics Operations and at least 3 years at manufacturing/industrial engineering or program management.

Nice to have

  • 3 years PML experience in automotive industry.
  • Chinse/Spanish speaker

Skills and competencies:

Knowledge with.

  • Thorough knowledge of manufacturing engineering and assembly processes
  • Experience of managing multifunction related to industrialization at least 3 years
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, decision making and communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of engineering techniques associated with project management
  • Must be capable of proactive working with a wide variety of people from the shop floor to senior managers, vendors, suppliers and customers
  • Demonstrated experience in launches of new production lines, automation as ME lead.
  • Ability to create PM schedules, industrial plan with operational skills in production and quality matters.
  • IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA. Experience driving Continuous Improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, Toyota Production Systems methods

Mindset with.

  • Thorough knowledge of manufacturing engineering and assembly processes
  • Experience of managing multifunction related to industrialization at least 3 years
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
