Transit Operations provides safe, reliable and courteous transit services and excellence in customer service delivery to 100 million transit customers per year, by means of conventional bus, para transit and rail operations.
You are responsible for planning and managing the day-to-day delivery and operations of the property management functions associated with the maintenance, operation and repair of all transit facilities.
You are also responsible for developing and monitoring operating budgets, and for managing the human resources of the Unit, including hiring, termination, performance management and discipline of staff as necessary, as well as supervision of work done by service contractors.
Completion of 3 year community college diploma or university degree in facilities management, mechanical engineering or related field.
Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience including demonstrated successful experience at a management level in the delivery of commercial/institutional facilities maintenance and/or property management services, including experience in the management of human resources, operating and capital budgets, external professional and/or technical consultants, report writing, and project management.
Professional facility management designation from Building Owners and Managers Institute (FMA, RPA), International Facility Management Association (FMP, SFP, CFM), Ontario Recreation Facilities Association (CFRP) or relatedLicensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) OR Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) with OACETT
