About the Team
It’s fun to work in a company where people truly believe in what they’re doing. At Workday, we’re committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business of enterprise applications. We work hard, and we’re serious about what we do. But we like to have a good time, too. In fact, we run our company with that principle in mind every day: one of our core values is fun!
About the Role
Workday is looking for a Program Manager, Supplier Management (P3) to support and execute key Supplier Management programs within the P2P Strategy & Operations organization. In this role, you will operate in close partnership with, and under the direction of, the Sr. Supplier Management Program Manager to ensure our Supplier Management framework is executed consistently, efficiently, and with clear business impact.
You will be responsible for the ongoing administration and execution of established Supplier Management programs, with a particular focus on the global Supplier Business Review (SBR) framework. This includes managing the SBR cadence, coordinating cross-functional input, preparing supplier performance scorecards and materials, tracking follow-up actions, and helping stakeholders use the process to derive meaningful value from our strategic supplier relationships.
You will collaborate with internal Procurement teams, business stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure Supplier Management routines are well-run, data-driven, and aligned to Workday’s priorities around supplier performance, governance, risk management, and value realization. This role plays a key part in ensuring third-party risk is identified, assessed, and managed in partnership with cross-functional risk, security, and compliance teams.
Responsibilities
Execute the established Supplier Business Review (SBR) framework across sourcing teams, ensuring meetings are scheduled, prepared, and run in a consistent and high-quality manner.
Partner with the Sr. Supplier Management Program Manager to operationalize Supplier Management programs, focusing on day-to-day administration, tracking, and continuous refinement of execution.
Prepare and maintain supplier performance and risk scorecards and related reporting, consolidating data from multiple sources (e.g., performance, security, compliance, financial) to provide a clear view of supplier performance, risks, and opportunities.
Coordinate inputs from category managers, sourcing leads, and business stakeholders to ensure SBR materials and discussions are complete, accurate, and aligned to business objectives.
Capture, document, and track supplier-related actions and commitments coming out of SBRs and governance forums, and follow up with owners to ensure progress and closure.
Support the administration of supplier governance forums (e.g., SBRs, steering committees), including agenda preparation, content consolidation, logistics, and post-meeting communications.
Coordinate with Security, Privacy, Legal, Compliance, and other risk stakeholders to ensure third-party risk assessments, remediation plans, and ongoing monitoring requirements are embedded into Supplier Management routines and governance forums (e.g., SBRs, steering committees).
Maintain and continuously improve templates, guidance documents, and playbooks that support Supplier Management routines and help teams derive value from the process.
Analyze supplier performance and risk indicators (e.g., incident history, control effectiveness, SLA adherence) and SBR outcomes to identify patterns, trends, and insights that can drive improved cost, quality, delivery, innovation, and risk management.
Track and drive closure of supplier risk mitigation and remediation actions (e.g., control gaps, audit findings, security issues), ensuring owners are accountable and timelines are met.
Support training and enablement activities to help sourcing teams and stakeholders understand and effectively engage in Supplier Management and third-party risk management processes (including how to interpret supplier scorecards, risk ratings, and remediation plans).
About You
You are passionate about driving successful supplier relationships and motivated by making programs work smoothly at scale. You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable coordinating across multiple stakeholders, timelines, and priorities. You enjoy working with data and frameworks, and you take pride in turning process into tangible supplier and business value. You are comfortable working at the intersection of supplier performance, governance, and risk, and can balance business outcomes with regulatory and security considerations. You bring a structured, analytical approach to understanding third-party risk and translating it into clear actions for stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Supplier Management, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement Operations, or Program/Project Management, including exposure to Supplier Management programs or frameworks and third-party risk management activities (e.g., risk assessments, ongoing monitoring, remediation tracking).
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong business relationships across functions and levels.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear materials and facilitate alignment among stakeholders.
High proficiency with productivity and data tools (e.g., Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint equivalents), including comfort working with and presenting data.
Direct experience partnering with Security, Privacy, Legal, or Compliance teams on third-party risk assessments or supplier due diligence.
Other Qualifications
Deep understanding of the Source-to-Pay process; experience working in a Procurement organization strongly preferred.
Experience with supplier performance and risk management, including scorecards, KPIs, risk indicators, and governance routines (e.g., QBRs, SBRs, steering committees) is a plus.
Ability to visually present and communicate data, analyses, and findings in a way that is easy for stakeholders to interpret and act on.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple suppliers, stakeholders, and activities simultaneously.
Self-starter who can operate independently within clear direction from program leadership, and who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Proactive, results-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership over execution quality and timelines.
Experience with third-party risk management practices (e.g., inherent/residual risk scoring, control assessments, continuous monitoring, issue management) in partnership with Security, Privacy, Legal, or Compliance teams.
Familiarity with third-party risk or Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools and dashboards (or willingness to quickly learn and adopt new tools to support risk monitoring and reporting).
Our Approach to Flexible Work
With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.
