ob Title: Satellite Simulations Training Engineer

Location: On-site at Schriever Space Force Base (SSFB), Colorado; limited travel to Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado

Clearance: Active Secret security clearance required; must be able to obtain and maintain required installation access and credentials

Citizenship: U.S. citizenship required

AttainX Inc. is seeking a Satellite Simulations Training Engineer to support satellite simulation, training, and exercise activities for the 2nd Space Operations Squadron, the 50th Operational Support Squadron, and the 19th Space Operations Squadron at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado. This position supports GPS crew continuation training and exercises, including engineer-development training and exercise operations for Boeing and Lockheed Martin personnel.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on GPS satellite operations experience with strong simulation, systems-integration, and instructional capabilities. The individual will operate Government-provided GPS simulators, develop realistic training scenarios, deliver classroom and exercise instruction, and support testing of LADO software updates and modifications.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Prior experience in space-based crew operations and command and control of satellites.
  • Experience in satellite operations and a working understanding of satellite subsystems.
  • Qualification as a GPS Space System Operator/Satellite Vehicle Operator.
  • Prior experience conducting operations with the Air Force Satellite Control Network (AFSCN) and Automated Remote Tracking Stations (ARTS).
  • Extensive AFSCN experience, including expert knowledge of AFSCN simulation hardware and software.
  • Ability to develop scripts and operate the LADO simulator to provide realistic satellite and ground-systems training.
  • Experience in systems integration, system administration, documentation, drafting, and engineering.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, including the ability to develop and present training classes and exercises to customers.
  • Ability to coordinate meetings, manage multiple concurrent tasks, and conduct meetings and briefings for customers and Squadron leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Certified LADO simulation trainer.
  • Air Force or Space Force Instructor/Evaluator certification.
  • Understanding of basic computer programming and computer operations.
  • Ten years of experience in integration, system administration, documentation, drafting, and engineering.
  • Prior experience supporting Boeing and Lockheed Martin engineer-development training and exercise operations.

Job Duties:

  • Provide satellite simulation and training-engineering support to the 2nd Space Operations Squadron, the 50th Operational Support Squadron, and the 19th Space Operations Squadron.
  • Support GPS crew continuation training and training exercises in accordance with customer requirements and established operating procedures.
  • Support Boeing and Lockheed Martin engineer-development training and exercise operations.
  • Provide LADO simulator training support using GPS simulators and related equipment furnished by the Government.
  • Operate and support the Advanced Control Equipment (ACE) Suite products, STARSim products, and other Government-provided GPS simulation systems.
  • Support simulator or simulator-like equipment associated with the newest satellite vehicle in the GPS constellation.
  • Operate and support the LADO Off-line Trainer system.
  • Develop scripts and realistic scenarios that support satellite and ground-systems training objectives.
  • Conduct simulator operator training for the LADO system, including the development and presentation of training classes and exercises.
  • Support technical planning, systems integration, verification and validation, risk analysis, supportability analysis, and effectiveness analysis for total systems.
  • Support regression testing of new LADO software updates and modifications; document results, discrepancies, and follow-up actions.
  • Coordinate training schedules, meetings, exercises, and technical activities with customers, Squadron leadership, Government personnel, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver clear technical briefings, training materials, operating documentation, and exercise-related products.
  • Manage multiple assignments and priorities while meeting established milestones, schedules, and quality expectations.
  • Maintain proficiency with applicable satellite simulation hardware, software, operator procedures, and customer-directed training requirements.
  • Comply with all security, safety, credentialing, installation-access, and controlled-area requirements while working at Schriever and Peterson Space Force Bases.
