At Amazon, we are always exploring new opportunities to shape our transportation business. As a Senior Program Manager you’ll be an essential part of helping us scale our Same day operations, innovating and transforming our transportation processes as we build it. You’ll be taking the lead on the E2E coordination between teams to design and launch new programs to offer our customers speed sensitive selection (including groceries), receive their packages on time, at the highest speed, and lowest cost. The role will entail working across functions, linking CX, fincance, and operations.

Key job responsibilities
- Coordinate across same day stakeholders (customer experience, operations, finance, fulfillment, middle mile) to enable the development of Vespa where it drives CX improvements.
- Align with procurement on requirements with carriers, and support in negotiations.
- Expand the service provided through same day. Work to include specialty products like non-sort, groceries and perishables, or hazmat.
- Use data to understand operational challenges and align continuous improvement initiatives across teams.
- Within a program environment, lead a multidisciplinary team in overcoming challenges and drive progress.
- Manage stakeholders, internal processes, and define standards.

A day in the life
As a Senior Program Manager, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and improving initiatives that expand and improve our Same Day service. You’ll work closely with a range of Amazon colleagues to understand how they work, and what you and your teams can learn, as well as sharing your own expertise. Together, you’ll identify exciting new opportunities and will take the lead when it comes to designing their implementation. In parallel, you will be in direct contact and managing the performance of our external suppliers, driving improvement, but also helping us scale.

You’ll encourage and support your teams and colleagues to meet important deliverables, while proactively looking for new, data-backed ways we could do things better. Your work will be integral to your team’s success.

About the team
Our team works on scaling and expanding Same Day deliveries across EU collaborating with external logistics providers. We automate tools that optimize and facilitate the management of our transportation network, while also supporting in the scaling of the business. We partner with stakeholders from transportation to retail, as well as external 3P providers, and we also work on leveraging statistical and ML model to upgrade our internal technology.

Basic Qualifications


- Experience in program or project management
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- Experience leading process improvements
