Job Description

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark ("CCAN") is a non-profit corporation operating preschool programs in Newark and Elizabeth, New Jersey. CCAN currently operates the Little School House Preschool in Elizabeth and Mount Carmel Guild Cares Preschool in Newark. CCAN is dedicated to providing quality early childhood education, interactive learning, and memorable experiences geared towards creating a premier preschool.

The MCG Little School House located in Elizabeth, NJ is looking for a Program Manager

Responsibilities for Full Time Program Manager include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Overseeing the daily operations of the program and maintaining accountability for contractual requirements set forth by the district or funders.
  • Implementing the overall planning, operation, and management of the program, coordinates and integrates program services.
  • Maintaining accountability for the professional standards required by regulations within the area of supervision, and implements policies and procedures for these areas.
  • Finding effective and creative ways to deliver services in order to improve program outcomes.
  • Is charged with supervising program staff and overseeing the implementation of all program activities and services to ensure contract compliance.

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, or a Bachelor’s Degree and Director’s Academy Certification or commencing work towards such certification upon hire
  • Experience working as a manager/administrator in an Early Childhood Program for two to three years required.
