As a program manager on the Hospitality & Standards team, you will lead cross-functional programs that shape the partner and customer experience in our coffeehouses. You will bring our commitment to being the best customer service company to life through Green Apron Service and the Starbucks Standards Framework. You will drive initiatives that improve partner experience and coffeehouse conditions, enhance store safety, and refine our approach to service recovery. In this role, you will translate enterprise priorities into clear, executable standards and solutions that simplify how work gets done in coffeehouses and deliver results at scale.

As a program manager on the Hospitality & Standards team, you will…

  • Define and drive end-to-end program strategy and execution, leading cross-functional work from concept through implementation.
  • Translate enterprise priorities into clear, actionable standards, practices, and solutions that improve the partner and customer experience.
  • Develop, refine, and maintain standards and tools that support consistent execution across coffeehouses.
  • Apply strategic thinking to identify opportunities that improve service, safety, coffeehouse conditions, service recovery, and operational effectiveness.

Program Leadership & Governance

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships and effective ways of working across functions to enable collaboration and shared accountability.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment and decision making, navigating competing priorities to achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Establish program governance, manage risks and dependencies, and provide visibility to key stakeholders throughout program delivery.
  • Influence stakeholders across multiple functions to drive alignment, commitment, and execution.

Execution, Change & Continuous Improvement

  • Support implementation efforts that enable successful adoption of new standards, processes, and solutions across coffeehouses.
  • Define success metrics and monitor program performance to ensure initiatives deliver intended outcomes and measurable business impact.
  • Incorporate feedback from field leaders, store teams, and cross-functional partners to continuously improve solutions.
  • Ensure solutions are practical, scalable, and sustainable across coffeehouses while balancing partner experience, customer experience, and business objectives.

We’d love to hear from people with:

  • 8+ years driving strategic initiatives and operational execution in large, matrixed organizations.
  • 8+ years turning data into actionable insights that drive business results.
  • 8+ years leading complex, cross-functional programs with measurable impact.
  • Leads high-performing, cross-functional teams to deliver complex, multi-year programs.
  • Drives decision making and prioritization in ambiguous environments, balancing risk and changing business needs.
  • Influences cross-functional leaders and stakeholders to align on solutions and deliver outcomes.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect program goals to broader organizational strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships and foster team effectiveness.
  • MBA or equivalent degree preferred.
