Lead the delivery of a complex, multi-year ERP transformation programme for Group Finance, including ERP cloud migration, integration with dependent systems, retirement of legacy platforms, process redesign and business change. The role will ensure delivery is governed in line with PMO and portfolio standards, with clear management of scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks, dependencies, benefits and executive reporting.
Partner with Group Finance SMEs and Technology stakeholders to capture and translate business requirements into fit-for-purpose solutions, driving continuous improvement across finance processes, controls and reporting.
Management of a key vendor to ensure delivery is implemented with strong business process change governance and documentation practices, enabling seamless transition, stable operations, audit readiness and effective adoption by end users. Delivery oversight across the broader Finance Systems roadmap, coordinating concurrent finance initiatives.
The role will support initiative intake, prioritisation, sequencing, financial governance, change readiness, transition-to-BAU and benefits realisation to ensure finance systems initiatives are delivered in a coordinated, sustainable and business-aligned manner.

What Tou'll Be Doing
ERP Transformation & Program Delivery
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of a complex ERP transformation program, including cloud migration and finance systems modernisation.
- Establish and maintain program governance, reporting frameworks, steering committees and executive decision forums.
- Manage scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, dependencies and benefits realisation across multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Align program delivery with enterprise architecture standards, PMO governance requirements and Finance transformation objectives.
- Partner with Finance, Technology, Risk and Operations stakeholders to shape requirements and target-state business processes are clearly designed and agreed. Ensure controls, compliance, and audit requirements are embedded in the design.
- Drive delivery planning across data migration, integrations, testing, cutover, training, change management and business readiness activities.
- Track and report on programme performance, ensuring timely escalation and resolution of delivery risks and issues.
Data Migration & Finance System Transformation
- Lead data migration activities including profiling, cleansing, enrichment, reconciliation and master data governance.
- Partner with Finance SMEs and Technology teams to define and validate data mapping and transformation rules.
- Plan and execute migration cycles, mock loads, defect management and cutover activities.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy and stakeholder sign-off throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Support broader finance systems initiatives including enhancements, integrations, reporting, automation and compliance-related technology improvements.
- Maintain visibility of other in-flight finance systems initiatives, including automation, dashboarding, reconciliation, invoice processing, procurement workflow, vendor lifecycle, payment and banking systems, close management and compliance-related system changes.
Stakeholder & Vendor Leadership
- Build strong relationships across Finance, Technology, Risk, Operations and executive stakeholder groups.
- Lead ERP implementation partners, system integrators and third-party vendors, ensuring contracted outcomes are achieved.
- Facilitate workshops, manage competing priorities and drive alignment across complex stakeholder groups.
- Provide clear and effective communication to steering committees, sponsors and executive leadership teams.
Governance & Risk
- Establish strong programme controls and governance practices across delivery, financial management and change control.
- Own RAID management (Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies) and ensure mitigation plans are actively managed.
- Oversee programme budgets, forecasts, vendor spend and benefits realisation reporting.
- Ensure audit, compliance and control requirements are embedded throughout solution design and delivery.
- Coordinate internal and external audit activities, evidence preparation and remediation programs.
Change & Adoption
- Lead stakeholder communications and change readiness activities, ensuring impacted users are supported through training, transition planning, and adoption of new ways of working.
- Own change adoption planning across impacted Finance teams, including stakeholder impact assessment, communications, training, role-based readiness, super-user engagement, adoption tracking and transition-to-BAU planning.
- Drive user adoption, process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives post go-live.
- Support transition to BAU and ensure sustainable operational outcomes following implementation.
What You'll Bring
- 10+ years’ experience in Programme management delivering large change in a financial services environment.
- Experience managing a p ortfolio of concurrent finance systems initiatives, including ERP upgrades, automation, reporting, close/compliance tools, procurement-to-pay, payments, reconciliation and workflow enhancements.
- Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end delivery lifecycle: discovery, design, build/configuration oversight, data migration, testing, cutover and hyper care.
- Strong hands-on technical capability across data extraction, cleansing, mapping, migration and reconciliation; working knowledge of ERP controls, audit evidence, and financial reporting requirements.
- Delivery of complex business change associated with a significant platform upgrade and proficient with project planning tools (e.g., MS Project) and advanced Excel.
- Strong data analysis skills (SQL desirable), including the ability to reconcile datasets and generate insights to support decision-making.
- Strong planning and prioritisation skills; able to manage competing deadlines and dependencies in a delivery environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including facilitation, negotiation, and executive-level reporting.
- Strong governance and risk mindset, including RAID management, control awareness, and disciplined documentation.
- Analytical problem-solver with high attention to detail, particularly in data quality, reconciliations, and end-to-end process impacts.
Desirable
- Finance systems initiatives, including ERP upgrades/migrations (cloud or on-prem) and complex stakeholder environments
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, IT or a related discipline; CPA/CA preferred.
- Experience delivering integrations with planning and analytics platforms
