Microsoft’s Azure Data engineering team is leading the transformation of analytics in the world of data with products like databases, data integration, big data analytics, messaging & real-time analytics, and business intelligence. The Fabric Customer Advisory Team (CAT) is a part of the Fabric product group whose role is to act as a bridge between customers and the Microsoft field on one side and Fabric Program Managers and engineering leaders on the other. It helps customers be successful with Fabric by promoting best practices, advising on architecture, answering questions about technical problems and product roadmap, and managing escalations. It helps the rest of the Fabric product group by curating product feedback and making sure it is seen an understood by the relevant Program Managers and the Fabric Senior Leadership Team.

Responsibilities

  • ​​Acts as a credible point of contact for customers by providing consistent and relevant product advice.
  • Independently conducts and collects customer-related feedback and research and proactively ensures alignment of team resources to address potential customer issues within scope, identify potential solutions, and drive customer acceleration in conjunction with product outcomes.
  • Independently anticipates and addresses complex product/solution-related requests or issues from customers, leveraging senior colleagues when necessary.
  • Executes on the short-term and long-term customer strategy and product alignment, may develop customer strategy independently. Identifies potential issue areas to bring insights back internally for development.
  • Supports engineering and sales teams in customer interactions to accelerate deal closing and technology adoption.
  • Collaborates with customers to identify conditions of success.​

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

​​Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Math, Business, or related field AND substantial experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.​

Job Requirements: Other & Additional

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

  • This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred/Additional Qualifications

  • ​​In-depth knowledge of Power BI and at least one other Fabric workload
  • A good general knowledge of all other Fabric workloads
  • Detailed understanding of the Fabric platform including governance and capacity management
  • Customer-facing experience, for example from a consultancy role
  • Experience with AI and agentic development for Fabric
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • The ability to work independently​
